20 Weeks (AKA: half way there)

20 weeks!!! We’re now half way! That means in 20 more weeks (or less) we’ll have a new baby, plus it will be February. This week has been a good one. We haven’t done a whole lot other than continue to prep towards baby. We started cleaning out / purging / reorganizing the closets and that is a task! The nursery is going into the former office, and in classic office fashion that closet has collected all the miscellaneous homeless items for years. Needless to say our shredder has been so busy it overheats and won’t work for about twenty minutes and we’ve created quit the donate pile.

Our next appointment is Friday the 28th and we have our anatomy scan, or as I told Brett we’re going to go peak in on the baby for a bit. It’s extra fun, because we get to see the baby right before Brett’s birthday, so it’s kind of like an early gift to him.

Other than that, we haven’t been up to much. My mom and I went to a Baby Extravaganza last week and while there we got some more diapers from a local distributor. This lady (Bellybuttonsandbubbles.com) also offers Cloth Diapering 101 classes and she is going to have one in October. Brett and I plan to attend and make sure we haven’t missed anything in all our research. We have a lot of baby stuff accumulating, it will be nice when it can go in the nursery. Still have to finish the closet, including painting and installing new hardware, as well as the baseboards for the actual room and finish getting “office” items out of there. But, we’re making progress slowly. I’m hoping to have everything mostly done by early November before my baby shower so any guests we have can stay in the guest room without anything sharing the room with them.

Other than that, there isn’t a whole lot else going on. Here’s the photo for 20 weeks. I’ll update again after the ultrasound.

Until Next Time,

~Sam~
