17 weeks!! I had a check-up this week and all is going well. Baby had a strong heart beat and it was easily detected this time. On Thursday, Brett and I went up to Kansas City for the Detroit Tigers / Kansas City Royals baseball game. We had a good time, even if it was 101* when we got to Kansas City. By 8:40 it was still 91* outside. We had great seats and really enjoyed the game. (Tigers lost, so Brett's dad is happy... he's a Royals fan).
On Friday, we went to Babies R Us while we were in KC. The Babies R Us in Springfield is a combined store with a Toys R Us. The Babies R Us in Kansas City is one store all by itself, and it was awesome. We got ourselves a baby book while we were there. After Babies R Us we then went to the Plaza and visted Barnes and Noble. We had lunch at Jack Stack and dessert at Cheesecake Factory. It rained all day Friday, remnants of Tropical storm Isaac. It rained through Saturday evening in Springfield, it was nice to have the rain, but it was a bit dreary for most of the day.
It's been a good week, and all is going well. We've been making progress on the guest room and the nursery. We are getting closer to being ready every day. I forgot to mention we got our first gift this week. My Aunt bought us a car seat, it's VERY nice.
There really hasn't been a whole lot else going on. Hope you enjoy your Labor Day weekend. Here are some photos.
